VIP Tasting – J Lohr Reserve Wines – $40
June 27 @ 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM EDT
2022 Arroyo Vista Single Vineyard Chardonnay. Exhibits intriguing aromas of paperwhites, Meyer lemon, apple, pear, and crème brûlée. The rich texture is a result of classic Burgundian techniques: primary and malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels and weekly stirring of the lees during aging. Flavors of pear, lemon-cream, chalky minerality, and baking spices lead to a long, sweet oak finish.
2021 J. Lohr Merlot Los Osos Paso Robles. Varietal aromas of plum, currant, and violet are elevated by a light barrel signature of baking spices and toasted pastry. The addition of Malbec contributes notes of pomegranate and hibiscus flower. Cabernet Franc brings layers of cocoa and peppery spice. The mouth-watering palate transitions to a lingering black cherry finish.
2021 J. Lohr Fog’s Reach Pinot Noir. Our most coveted blocks of Pinot Noir are touched by fog from the nearby bay. Classic Monterey Pinot Noir flavors of ripe cherry and spice backed by food-pairing acidity in this wine. Expresses the cool-climate character of the Arroyo Seco region with bing cherry, strawberry compote, and dried sage on the nose. Bright red cherry flavors wash across the palate and leave peppery spice on the lengthy finish. 93 Points, WINE ENTHUSIAST, MARCH 2024
2020 J. Lohr Pure Paso Proprietary Red. Savory varietal notes of Cabernet Sauvignon are layered with the dark fruit character of Petite Sirah. The bouquet of cocoa powder, caramel, and anise works in harmony with the black cherry fruit signature of this wine. Bright and focused on the palate, with a firm and appetizing finish.
2021 Tower Road Petite Sirah. Bursts with energy, boasting cranberry and olallieberry aromas, complemented by delicate floral notes from the addition of Grenache Blanc. Delightful red and blue fruit on the palate, leading to a finish of exquisite length, concentration, and well- balanced structure.
2021 J. Lohr Cabernet Sauvignon Hilltop Vineyards. Exhilarating blackberry and blueberry aromas are enhanced by crushed violet, herbes de Provence, and spiced tea. On the palate, dense and soft, with finely textured tannins. Juicy layers of black and red currants lead to a bright finish, accented by pastry notes from extended barrel aging.
