DESCRIPTION:The grandfather of Nick Demos (our presenter) opened the very first wine shop in Asheville just after prohibition. In July 2016\, Mr Demos passed the ever challenging Advanced Sommelier exam through the Court of Master Sommeliers. Nick has also earned the designation of Certified Wine Educator. This is the highest honor awarded by the Society of Wine Educators. \nTHE WINES \nJump to Copper Cane Winery Website \nWine #1 – 2023 Threadcount Sauvignon Blanc. \nWinemaker Notes – “Medium yellow straw hue in the glass. Asian pear\, honeysuckle\, passionfruit\, green melon and a citrus bouquet greet the nose. The palate present refreshing stone fruit\, grapefruit\, and tropical flower. This wine has a well-balanced mouthfeel with bright and lively acidity.” \nWine #2 – 2023 Belle Glos Balade Chardonnay. \nWinemaker Notes – “Belle Glos Chardonnay Glasir Holt is a rich and full-bodied white wine from California. It offers flavors of ripe apple\, pear\, and tropical fruit\, with a touch of vanilla and butter. This Chardonnay’s balanced acidity and creamy texture make it an excellent choice for pairing with roasted poultry\, seafood\, and creamy pasta dishes. Serve slightly chilled to enjoy its luxurious and complex character.” \nWine #3 –  2023 Boen Tri County Pinot Noir. \nWinemaker Notes – “The first sip of the California Böen Pinot Noir envelops the mouth with a velvety richness. Flavors of bright cherry\, dried herbs and hints of vanilla\, is supple and sumptuous\, to the finish.” \nProfessional Ratings – 93 (Wine Enthusiast) – “This wine is concentrated\, with aromas of boysenberry\, lingonberry\, clove\, black tea\, and notes of toasted oak on the nose.
