SUMMARY:VIP Wine Tasting - Passport to Paris!
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a trip through French wines starting in Languedoc with stops in Provence\, Beaujolais\, Hermitage\, and Bordeaux. \nThis group of wines is outstanding. You will taste wines from vineyards owed by Lafite as well as the #1 Rosè of 2025. \nYou will also enjoy our great charcuterie plates and lively wine folk. \nChristophe Courteaud from Vintus International will also tell us about the wines and his experiences in French wine country. \n  \nWines scheduled to appear: \n  \n2023 Domaine Aussieres Chardonnay \nRegion: Languedoc \nGrape: 100% Chardonnay \nTaste: “…a fresh\, fruit-forward expression of the variety\, crafted from the estate’s coolest plots in the Languedoc. Early harvesting and low-temperature fermentation preserve bright aromatics\, while aging on lees lends balance and texture. Modern and approachable\, this white highlights citrus and orchard fruit flavors with a clean\, refreshing finish—a clear reflection of the region’s potential for vibrant\, terroir-driven Chardonnay.” \nSpecial note: This vineyard is owned and operated by Lafite. (If you know\, you know…) \n2025 Château d’Estoublon Roseblood Rose \nRegion: Provence \nGrape: Grenache\, Syrah\, Cinsault\, and Rolle \nTaste: “Pale and luminous hue\, with rose-water reflections and subtle hints of peach and melon. The nose is airy and precise\, opening with delicate linden and jasmine blossoms\, then revealing notes of peach and freshly cut watermelon.\nThe vibrant palate is supported by a mineral backbone that brings length and tension. Citrus and tangy red berries energize the texture and balance the natural fruit generosity. The finish is long\, saline\, and refreshing.” \nSpecial note: Top Rosè of 2025 – Wine Spectator \n2022 Chateau Recougne Rouge \nGrapes: 78% Merlot\, 12% Cabernet Franc\, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon \nTaste: “A nose of red fruits\, a deep and powerful structure\, silky tannins: an elegant\, complex and rich wine. These values give this wine an excellent aptitude for ageing.” \n2022 Chateau de La Chaize Brouilly \nRegion: Beaujolais (Brouilly) \nGrape: 100% Gamay \nTaste: “A fragrant and delightful Brouilly that’s juicy and subtle. Elegant\, medium-bodied palate. Lively acidity and soft tannins for the 2022 vintage. The aromas and the balance are fantastic. […] A blend of wines from two parcels at the bottom of the slope\, half of which was matured in casks and half in large oak vats. From organically grown grapes.” \nRating: 92 (James Suckling) \n2022 Chateau Tour Bayard – St. Emilion \nRegion: Bordeaux (St. Emilion) \nGrapes: 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc \nTaste: “This is a powerful wine with ripe tannins and spice from wood aging. It has a generous character\, rich and full of black fruits. Drink from 2025.” \nRating: 91 (Wine Enthusiast) \n2021 E. Guigal Crozes Hermitage \nRegion: Rhone Valley (Crozes Hermitage) \nGrape: 100% Syrah \nTaste: “A classic and rustic expression\, this wine showcases rich red cherries and currants\, with subtle notes of cedar\, fine herbs\, and violet aromas. Fruit-forward yet alluringly savory\, it offers youthful tannins that coat the mouth\, supporting a midpalate of lush black plum\, charcuterie\, and light black tea. The finish is defined by a fine granitic edge. Enjoy now with a proper decant…”\nRating: 92 (Wine Enthusiast)
