Come taste SIX great curated wines with Steve Nelson from Grapevine Distributors!

Wines scheduled to appear:

2024 Torii Mor Pinot Gris Willamette Valley

Region: Oregon (WiIlamette Valley)

Grape: Pinot Gris

“Lively acidity marks the way for this crisp Pinot Gris. The wine’s pineapple, honeycomb and toasted filbert aromas are graced by the kind of fresh salinity you get with an ocean breeze. Look for flavors of lemongrass, tangerine and wet slate to brighten your day.”

Rated 90 (Wine Enthusiast – previous vintage)

2023 Hook & Ladder Chardonnay Russian River Valley

Region: California (Sonoma)

Grape: Chardonnay

“A classic Russian River Valley Chardonnay with aromas of ripe apple, citrus blossom, and vanilla. The palate is creamy and full-bodied, with flavors of golden pear, pineapple, and toasty oak, balanced by a refreshing acidity and a lingering, creamy finish.

2023 Hook & Ladder Pinot Noir Russian River Valley.”

Rating: 91 (Joseph Suckling)

2023 Hook and Ladder Estate Pinot Noir Russian River Valley

Region: California (Sonoma)

Taste: “Dark fruit, sweet spices, earth and flowers on the nose. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins and bright acidity, giving flavors of black cherries, plums and cocoa. Fruit-driven and plush. Drink now.

Rating: 90 (Joseph Suckling)

2020 Stellekaya Cape Cross Red Blend

Region: South Africa (Stellenbosch)

Grapes: Merlot (33%), Cabernet Sauvignon (29%), Malbec (21%), Cabernet Franc (17%)

“A mélange of red and dark berry fruits of plum, strawberry and wild berries. The palate is smooth with juicy fruit, has a dry yet integrated tannin structure and shows great balance between the fruit, wood and acidity.”

Rating: 93 (Wine Guide)

2018 Reino Rioja Reserva

Region: Spain (Rioja)

Grape: Tempranillo

“Deep cherry red to the eye, this wine offers a bouquet of cassis, coffee bean and clove. A nice note of butterscotch underlies flavors of blackberry, cassis, mocha, mint and lavender. Opulent tannins slowly build in volume and then drop away to reveal a bright, fruit-filled finish.”

Rating: 92 (Wine Enthusiast)

2023 Runquist “Z” Zinfandel Massoni Ranch

Region: California (Amador county)

“One of the most original and distinctive Zinfandel. A ruby purple color of solid depth with youthful garnet hues that carry a suggestion of magenta. The aroma of this wine has moved from the red fruits to those of boysenberry, black raspberry, and olallieberry. A bouquet of hazelnut, sandalwood, and almond paste. Juicy flavors of creamy red raspberries, and toasted oak are accompanied by notes of caramel a luxuriously soft texture. A wonderful tension between the fruit and toasty oak that lingers well after the wine is gone.”

Rating: Unrated but previous vintages scored in the mid-90’s
