We will taste great wines from Neyers Vineyards.

“Neyers Vineyards is located in the heart of the Napa Valley, but Bruce’s background with European wine importer Kermit Lynch has clearly influenced their wines. Many of the French producers that Bruce met and learned from practice non-invasive farming, make their wines naturally without the use of laboratory yeast or malo-lactic starter, and bottle their wines without fining or filtration. These “Old-World” practices result in wines that have the natural characteristics we seek to bring to our wines at Neyers Vineyards.”

Wine scheduled to appear:

Avissi Prosecco

“Avissi Prosecco is clean and bright, a crisp sparkler with soft, elegant bubbles that flutter in the glass, giving a lovely effervescence to each sip. A beautiful balance of heady floral notes and luscious fruit makes it imminently approachable. That’s why we love it with take-out after work or all dressed up on a Saturday night. Or, somewhere in between on Sunday. (Hello, brunch.)” Note: not from Neyers winery but who can say no to bubbles?

Neyers Chardonnay ‘304’

“Intense and stylish, with a core of Meyer lemon, pear and dried pineapple that’s generous, juicy and sleek. Details of brioche, lemon blossoms and crunchy sea salt minerality linger alongside a whiff of lemon verbena.” 92 Points – Wine Spectator

2021 Neyers Red Sage Canyon

A blend of 50% Carignan, 20% Mourvèdre, 20% Cinsault, 10% Grenache

“This wine is dense opulent deep purple garnet with aromas of ripe blueberry, huckleberry, fresh fine herbs, potpourri on the nose. The midpalate is fresh blackberry, green olive, dried bay leaf, blood orange zest, transmitting into toasty vanilla cream chocolate with a dry finish. Enjoy with hearty dishes.” 92 Points – Wine Enthusiast

2021 Neyers Mourvedre ‘Evangelho Vineyard’

“The wine is dark in color, with a lovely perfume with mineral and exotic fruit notes, like Black Mission and white fig along with peaches and nectarines. Most charming though, is the engaging softness we find in our Mourvèdre.”

2021 Neyers Zinfandel ‘Vista Notre’

“This wine has a unique freshness brimming with bright red berry fruit and hints of dried fruit.  It is flavorful, yet restrained for a CA zin, with black peppercorn spice and hints of chocolate and nuts.

2018 Neyers Cabernet Sauvignon ‘Neyers Ranch’

“Very brooding with a dark purple color. Some raw olives, charcoal, roasted herbs, blackberries, cassis and cocoa powder on the nose. The full-bodied palate is charged with chewy tannins that surrounds the center-palate fruit.” 91 points – James Suckling
